Born and raised in a little city at the gates of the Danube Delta, it was always a treat for the eyes and the imagination to spend my days in nature. Large old willows would hunch down protecting delicate little water flowers. The tune of rustling reeds, accompanied by the nimble chirp of a tern, a splash from a fish, and a splish from a frog, an entire tapestry of sensations dazzled at every step. At every corner I wondered how I might share this experience with others.
I modeled this book after coloring books that I enjoyed in my youth, but I also kept in mind the things I would have liked and never found in a coloring book. Everything a kid could want – fun, information, stickers – and constructive a reason to use their phones, all in one place. This book is the carefully and lovingly put together culmination of years of experience as a teacher, an artist, a lover of nature and an enthusiast of my native Danube Delta.
